One of many contracts undertaken by BBS in the healthcare sector, this project comprised the construction of two new Operating Theatres and TSSU unit. The contract was valued at £2.18m.

The extensive remodelling work at this private hospital is an on-going contract for BBS Construction comprising of many phases including the provision of 16 new bedrooms, new reception area, new dining area and kitchens, refurbishment of existing bedrooms and outpatient departments.
The master plan centres around the extension. refurbishment and improvement of the whole site and is carried out whilst the hospital is fully operational.
Latest of many phases of work that BBS Construction have delivered over the past 15 years, was a recent negotiated £1.6m phase to add six new ensuite hospital bedrooms. Included in this phase were alterations and refurbishments to the existing hospital kitchens and a new dining room. All works were carried out in a sensitive live hospital environment with the same team who have an excellent working relationship with the hospital staff on this busy site.
The total value of the works to date is in excess of £11m most of which has been negotiated with the client over the latter five year period. The architect on all these projects was Building Ideas of Maidstone.
This alteration and conversion work to the Grade 1 listed Stable Block at Somerhill School, Tonbridge involved the extensive use of traditional materials including lead sheet roofing, English Oak joinery, lime mortar and stonework.
The conversion, which was designed by Architect Buttress Fuller Allsop Williams, created five additional classrooms, music rooms and administration offices for the school.
When Richard Phillips and Chapel Down began a joint restaurant venture, BBS were appointed to carry out the structured alterations, which comprised of demolition, erection of structural steel work, strengthening of the existing structure and associated works.
